So, I was driving around running on errands and I was thinking of words that if you take them apart you can figure out what they mean. So, one of the words I was perplexed by was -- understand.
Here's the defintion of under (basically means beneath, less than, or inferior), and then there is stand (basically means either upright, valid, or motionless), and finally there is understand (basically means to comprehend).
Just thoughts.

I LOVE WORDS! I think about "stuff" like this. Reminds me of George Carlin, but I'm not as funny. Ex. "uplifting" is redundant, but I suppose it emphasizes the HIGHER concept... I"d take up too much room here talking about words so I'm capping my stubby fingers. I like to pun, learn new words,and write (when I'm not painting). I've seen your name on other sites (I think Ianna's, Cattivas, and Lois Lanes, among others) and finally made the time to stop by. Glad I did. BTW, your name here cracks me up (further ;)...and I'm Jewish. Am I an ass? WEll, that depends who you ask, but I'd own up to it. ;)
